Is Far Cry 6 a online Game ?.It has been reported that Ubisoft will take the Far Cry franchise in a new direction with Far Cry 7, incorporating more online elements. According to a report by VGC earlier today, an anonymous Axios source stated that Ubisoft wants Far Cry 7 to take a “more online-oriented approach.” While no specifics were provided, the emphasis on online elements appears to be more than just a more advanced form of cooperative play.

The suggestion, however, is not novel. Ubisoft has frequently expressed a desire to connect its flagship franchises’ single-player and multiplayer modes in a live service fashion. The Tom Clancy franchise, specifically Rainbow Six Siege and the new Ghost Recon Frontline, are good examples.

Not to mention the postponed Skull & Bones, which will allow players to form alliances against one another for piracy and naval warfare. The idea is that Ubisoft wants Far Cry to have something along the same lines. Far Cry 7 could, for example, introduce new multiplayer modes to the franchise or feature its own online universe for use in future instalments.
Whatever plans Ubisoft has, they will take time to come to fruition.
Meanwhile, Far Cry 6 follows the same linear path as its predecessors Fans of the franchise will thus feel at home, but players looking for something new may also find it in Far Cry 7.
