Elements and Photoshop
Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are similar as they both do the same thing. They are graphic editing software used to edit, create or modify images. But there are differences in Photoshop and Elements
This post will explain the difference between Photoshop and Photoshop Elements software.
Photoshop is a professional level software for editing and creating images. It was the first commercially available image editing software.
In contrast, Photoshop Elements is a simpler and less powerful version of Photoshop. It designed for hobbyist or professionals.
Below are some of the differences between Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.

Modes
Photoshop and Photoshop Elements have different modes.
When you go into the Edit Mode in Photoshop, you are in the basic mode. But, when you go into the Edit mode in Photoshop Elements, you are in the Photo Mode.
Photoshop Elements has fewer modes than Photoshop. You can edit an image in Black-and-White and you can also edit by color (Blue, Green, Red, Yellow).
However, Photoshop has a color mode as well as a Black-and-White mode.
Complexity
Photoshop is a powerful graphics editor, meaning it has many functions and features. But, Photoshop Elements is a simpler graphics editor. It has fewer and simpler features.
However, it doesn’t mean that Photoshop Elements is less powerful than Photoshop. Below are some examples of Photoshop functionality which Photoshop Elements doesn’t have.
Resize
Photoshop can resize any image to almost any size. You don’t need to resize an image to any specific size or in a certain ratio. Photoshop also has advanced features such as pixel perfect or “Retouch” so that when you zoom in, you are zoomed in to the exact same size.
HDR or toning
Often times, you see images with lots of lighting on them such as the image below. But, in actuality, the image composed of multiple exposures of the same subject
