How To Get A Religious Victory in AOE4 (Age Of Empires 4). There are two methods for achieving victory in skirmish mode. Obtaining a religious victory, also known as a Sacred Victory, is a relatively simple process. To defeat their opponents, players must capture and defend several holy sites on the game map for a set amount of time.
However, as with the other game modes in Age of Empires 4, achieving a Sacred Victory necessitates careful planning on the part of the player. There’s also the matter of time, because one’s opponents aren’t going to stand idle while the player makes their move.

A Sacred Victory’s Object
The goal of a Sacred Victory is straightforward. Players must locate and capture ALL Sacred Sites on the map, as well as defend them from enemy attacks for ten minutes. If the player still has possession of all Sacred Sites after 10 minutes, he or she has won.
When the enemy controls all locations for 10 minutes, the player is defeated. The timer only begins to count down once each site is occupied by either the player or the enemy, and it is interrupted if either the player or the enemy recaptures one of the Sacred Sites.
How to Locate a Sacred Site
Finding the Sacred Sites is determined by the player’s map settings preferences. When the map is set to “Concealed,” players must actively search for the locations because the fog of war is in effect. Setting the map to “Explored” or “Revealed” will, on the other hand, mark the location of the Sacred Sites on the player’s mini-map.
When playing on the “Concealed” settings, it is strongly advised to create a few extra Scouts right away, as locating the Sacred Sites is the first step in this process. Sacred Sites are represented by stone ruins with a flag in the centre. Don’t be concerned about securing them right away; that will come later.
How to Photograph a Sacred Site
A monk, the game’s religious units, is required to capture a Sacred Site. Monks are typically recruited from a religious institution, such as a monastery or mosque. Most civilizations (though not all) cannot build the necessary religious structures until Age III. Players can change the age at which their game begins by adjusting the settings.
If players plan to begin in Age I, they must make plans to advance to the next age as soon as possible. Collect as much food and gold as you can to get to Age III as soon as possible. From there, players can build religious structures and recruit monks.

If an enemy has taken a player’s Sacred Site, it must be reclaimed by military force. Gamers must eliminate all enemies near the Sacred Site and position their own troops near it. This will return the Sacred Site to a state of neutrality. As described above, use a monk to reclaim the Sacred Site for your side.
Suggestions for Defending a Sacred Site
Once the player has obtained all Sacred Sites, they must defend them for 10 minutes. This is the most important step, as completing it results in a match victory. Follow these guidelines from the start of a game to achieve a Sacred Victory:
- Produce an abundance of Villagers, around 30-40. Once the economy is booming, feel free to delete excess Villagers to make room for more military units.
- Prioritize Stone collection.
- Build a Market to sell excess resources. Buy more Stone if needed.
- Construct multiple Barracks, Archery Ranges, Stables, and Siege Workshops to crank out an army as quickly as possible.
- When a Sacred Site is captured, build 1 or 2 Castles/Keeps nearby. Construct walls where applicable to create chokepoints.
- Upgrade the Castles/Keeps as much as possible to increase their effectiveness.
- Station troops nearby to eliminate enemy siege equipment. Let the Castles take care of the infantry and cavalry.
