Long has happened, but at last yesterday at Sony’s State of Play, we finally had our eye for a protracted gaming by Horizon Forbidden West. Fans were left watching during the 15-minute bobbin how incredible the visuals were and how dynamic the setting was.

We went into the action that showed that Aloy tracked her devoted friend and returned character Erend over the deep and rich environment.

Although we anticipated many new features and changes in the terrain, we ultimately witnessed a well-designed and organised series of gameplays that gave a lot more than fans first wanted.

That does not insult Aloy, the queen that is the machine hunter, but if we are honest here, Aloy was mostly empty of expression and sentiment in Horizon Zero Dawn. It never matched your wrath, fear or happiness emotionally.

Fortunately, Guerrilla Games have heard comments and the new video seems like a step in the right way. Aloy’s exterior just outside the bat underwent a huge improvement, in which we really noticed evidence of her facial motions seen.

Improved Combat Skill Set

Aloy rather restricted in Horizon Zero Dawn in the fighting, and though they were successful with an adversary, there was always opportunity for development and for the player to be something fascinating.

Again, the devs looked to be taking this feedback and turning the learning to the maximum. Aloy’s approach to enemies not only more tactical, but her trusty Spear also gained enormous improvements that enable a whole new spectrum of combinations.

In a session of fighting we observed Aloy inserting unique ammunition in her spear, which permitted an epic result when dealing with the adversary. She has also learnt a few tricks since we saw her for the last time by escaping a foe by lifting dirt from the ground so that she can simply get away from it or mislead her opponent.

New Gear

Can we take a time to admire the shielding mechanism of Aloy’s holographic umbrella? It was fantastic to witness Aloy go to the air for a few seconds and a much needed element which would add excitement to the adventure.

Besides the Shieldwing, using her new Pullcaster, we have seen Aloy pull several Uncharted movements. A brand-new gizmo to let her travel quickly between areas. Aloy gets a diving mask as well as major changes to her focus capability now with underwater exploring.

Aloys upcoming journey seems poised to become one of the largest and finest titles on the PS5 with all the changes, upgrades and fighting capabilities presented in the new gameplay trailer.

Horizon Forbidden West is still scheduled for debut in 2021, however a release date has not yet come.
