In 2021, the game will be released on August 31. That’s just around the corner! New World will host a closed beta test in the coming week to prepare for the launch. During the closed beta, all of the new content added since the Preview Event and alpha tests can be viewed and tested.
When does the New World Closed Beta start?
As of July 20, 2021, the Closed Beta for The New World will begin at 9:45 PT. On August 2, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. PT, the Closed Beta will come to an end. Currently, Closed Beta is available in the following countries:
- North America
- Europe
- Australia
- Brazil
The Closed Beta allows players to share, record, and broadcast their gameplay footage.

How to get access to the New World Closed Beta
There are two ways to get access to the New World Closed Beta:
- Pre-order New World
- Sign up to be a New World tester
It is possible to access the Closed Beta without pre-ordering the game through Amazon or Steam by simply signing up as a tester. As per the official announcement of the New World,
- Closed Beta access is available in three ways: you can sign up for a chance to get in on this page, or you can pre-order the game on Amazon or Steam.
- As Closed Beta progresses, we will randomly select testers from the sign-up page at regular intervals. In the meantime, if you’ve already signed up, be sure to check your email to see if you’ve been invited.
- the 17th at 11:59 p.m. (UTC) will receive an invite on the 19th. Those who place a pre-order on Amazon after July 17 will receive an invitation up to 48 hours after their order is processed.
A Steam key will be provided to players who have access to the Closed Beta. New World Closed Beta can be unlocked by redeeming the key in the Steam library.
