Apex Legends Octane Jump Pad Nerf May Affect Gameplay. Octane’s famous jump pad appears to be on the short end of the stick at the start of the 10th Season of Evolution Collection Event of Apex. While previous nerves have been received, developers and players believe it has still been too powerful.
Octane has been most known for its useful jump pad since its introduction to Season One. The pad supports both the team and himself as his stimulation is helpful, so many players tend to use it.
Octane remains the most popular and chosen legend in the game, out of all legends. There are currently 16 legends in Apex Legends for play. The use of his pad is a major factor making him so popular. Despite the constant nervousness of the developers, players have always found a way to work with it.

THE OLYMPUS JUMP PAD ROTATION
You may have heard of this rotation technique once you play Apex Legends regularly. You can jump over a railing underneath a scaffolding with Octane’s jump pad (like you will fall off the map) before you land perfectly on the other side. This prevents you and your time from being attacked and possibly by an opponent.
This nerve may seem to have an impact on this technique. But Reddit user, WhosButWhyTho, showed that, with just a little change, it is indeed still possible.
The user has to throw the pad in an exact location to complete this renowned rotation technique, as shown in the video. Once correctly done, the user should have no problem at all to reach the other side.
THE EXACT NERF
Upon the release of the Evolution Collection Collection event, patch notes showcased that Octane would receive the following nerfs:
- Reduced the rate of Octane’s stim regeneration from 1.5 to 1.0 hp/sec
- Reduced jump pad horizontal distance by 10 – 15%
While these modifications appear small, more than one can notice them affects gameplay. Does Octane risk getting another nerve, as some may think that Octane is still overpowered? Oder would the developers buff him as Octane’s heads complain?
