Metroid Dread: How To Defeat Central Units. In Metroid Dread, you’ll face several boss battles, one of which you’ll face multiple times. Central Units are recurring enemies in the game that must be defeated repeatedly in order to progress. Defeating them grants Samus the Omega Cannon, which is the only way to defeat the EMMI.

Continue firing missiles, the Charge Beam, or the Beam Cannon at the Central Unit as you avoid the projectiles until it loses its protective armor. Following that, the lasers and discs appear more quickly. As you continue to fire at the boss, keep an eye out for both. It will crumble over time and fall to the ground, triggering a cutscene in which Samus obtains the Omega, Cannon.
