Who Is Shino In Animal Crossing

Who Is Shino In Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ final free update will include a slew of new features. Although it’s sad to say goodbye to the game after so many happy memories, this update appears to keep Animal Crossing fans interested for a while. With the final update, a slew of beloved NPCs, including Brewster and his cafe, as well as the dependable seafarer Kapp’n, will make their way into Animal Crossing: New Horizons. On top of that, a slew of new villagers have joined the game after first appearing in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Shino is one of the new villagers.

Although each of the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers is endearing in their own way, Shino appears to have won a popularity contest among the group. Many fans have taken to social media to express their excitement for Shino’s arrival, indicating that a large number of players will go to great lengths to have Shino move into their islands. Shino’s popularity stems from some distinguishing characteristics that set her apart from other Animal Crossing villagers, as well as a very cute aesthetic. As a result, she’s already been a huge help in ensuring Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets a proper send-off.

Shino’s Characteristics in Animal Crossing

Shino is a deer villager, and while the deer villagers in Animal Crossing already stand out with their distinct colour patterns and horn shapes, Shino stands out even more. This is largely due to Shino’s strong affinity for Japanese culture. Shino has thin red horns, small brows, and elaborate eye makeup that make her look like a demon mask from a Noh theatre performance. She’s also the first Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to wear a Morning-Glory Yukata as her default outfit, which adds to her already distinct appearance.

Shino has an interesting personality aside from her physical appearance. She’s the first peppy deer villager to appear in Animal Crossing, introducing a fun new combination of traits for fans of peppy villagers or deer villagers. Nintendo describes her as a mysterious figure until players interact with her, at which point she reveals herself to be very friendly and chatty. There does appear to be a mystique surrounding her, which is most likely due to her slightly demonic appearance. Her birthday is on October 31st, and a Halloween celebration seems like the ideal way to honour both Sasha’s mysterious aura and her true spunky personality.

There’s more good news for anyone eager to welcome Shino and her fellow new villagers to their island. All of the new villagers who join New Horizons in the game’s final free update will receive Amiibo Cards, which fans can purchase. Once fans have a villager’s card, they can invite the new villager to an island by scanning the card with a Switch. Otherwise, New Horizons players can continue to do things the old-fashioned way, by waiting for Shino to appear somewhere and strike up a conversation with them.

It may be a few years before the next Animal Crossing game is released, but New Horizons is a start.
