How To Build The Summoner Necromancer In Diablo 2: Resurrected. Summoner Necromancer Creation: Resurrected is unlike any other class or build. Yes, many builds use spawned allies, and they all rely on a mercenary. However, the ability to fill the screen with allies and never worry about being outnumbered is only available to Summoner Necromancers.
The build is frequently misassembled and, as a result, falls short near the end of the game when enemies in Diablo 2: Resurrected are at their strongest. Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking this build isn’t feasible! It has the potential to be the most entertaining build in the game if players make a few changes near the endgame.

Skill Tree
Raise Skeleton | 20 |
Skeleton Mastery | 20 |
Clay Golem | 20 |
Golem Mastery | 20 |
Summon Resist | 1 |
Blood Golem | 1 |
Iron Golem | 1 |
Raise Skeletal Mage | 1 |
Revive | 5 |
Teeth | 1 |
Corpse Explosion | 10 |
Amplify Damage | 10 |
Skeletons and Clay Golems will be able to steamroll most anything that tries to stop the Summoner early on. Eventually, enemy resistances will become so high that Corpse Explosion will appear to do no damage at all, but this is where Corpse Explosion shines as one of the best skills of any class at high levels.
Corpse Explosion is as powerful as the life of the body on which it is cast, so casting it on maxed-out skeletons that die will cause massive damage. The move itself is a combination of physical and magical damage, capable of dealing with monsters that are immune to one or the other. Amplify Damage is the only skill that can completely remove physical immunities at levels less than 24.
Attributes
Strength | 156 |
Dexterity | Until Block Chance hits 75% |
Vitality | All the rest |
Energy | None |
With a strength of 156, players can equip the Monarch, a shield with four sockets (required for the best Runeword buff in the game). Increasing block to 75% with dexterity will help a lot against enemies who break through the lines. Despite the fact that this is a “caster,” the mana requirements are extremely low, and casting is relatively infrequent. Energy is unnecessary because equipment will suffice to keep a decent mana pool running. Vitality should take the majority of the attribute points, transforming the squishy Summoner into a tank and bolstering the build’s only potential weakness.
Gear
Weapon | Heart of the Oak |
Offhand | Spirit Runeword |
Head | Harlequin Crest |
Body | Enigma |
Hands | Trang-Oul’s Claws |
Feet | Marrowwalk |
Waist | Arachnid Mesh |
Neck | Mara’s Kaleidoscope |
Finger 1 | Bul Kathos’ Wedding Band |
Finger 2 | Stone of Jordan |
Unique Charms | Gheed’s Fortune, Hellfire Torch, Annihilus |
Grand Charms | Graverobber’s Charm of Balance |
Small Charms | Stalwart/Shimmering Charm of Balance |
What do these items all have in common? They provide the most skill boosts possible. There are other Runewords that compete for best in game, but unless it adds to those Necromancer skills, it will struggle to compensate.
Companion Mercenary
Mercenary | Act 2 Offensive Desert Mercenary |
Weapon | Reaper’s Toll |
Head | Andariel’s Visage |
Body | Fortitude |
The Act 2 mercenary carries a Might Offensive Aura that affects all of the Necromancer’s summoned minions, so he is without a doubt the best. The Reaper’s Toll is well-known for dealing high damage, while Fortitude and Andariel’s Visage, when struck, cast Chilling Armor and Poison Nova, respectively.
Getting To Know Your Build
It’s difficult to imagine this build as a level one character. The skill trees alone require several levels, and nearly all of the items necessitate maximum level play. Here are some pointers for getting from start to finish as the Summoner Necromancer without hitting a brick wall of frustration when facing the game’s toughest bosses.
Order of Competence
Prioritize Raise Skeletons, then Skeleton Mastery, and finally Damage Amplifier. These three skills alone will defend the Necromancer, fill the screen with skeletons, and eliminate any enemies’ resistance to being killed by the skeletons. This will bring the build to the midgame, so put the ten points into Corpse Explosion, which will be useful.
This leaves mostly the golem skills to go, which is fine because the golem is better off as a tank, which is more valuable later on. It will collaborate with and hire mercenaries to form a front that should keep the Summoner from ever having to fight.
Priorities in Statistics
Diablo 2 pro tips: The endgame of Resurrected can do incredible things, but the player must prepare to survive that long. Focus on anything that improves summoning skills or all Necromancer skills until you have access to the best gear in the game. It’s also critical to increase resistance to magic, poison, and all elements to at least 75%. While minions will do the majority of the tanking, some spells simply cannot be avowed.
Early on, anything that increases mana or energy can be beneficial, especially when skeletons are weaker and must be re-raised frequently. Attribute bonuses can also be useful when trying to slip into armour with a high strength requirement.
Diablo 2: Resurrected was released on September 23, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
