How to Craft Medicine in Wartales

Getting extra medicine to heal and replenish your health boils down to two steps: purchasing it and creating it. The simplest solution is to simply purchase more. Paying party salaries, on the other hand, may be quite heavy on the coin pouch and quickly deplete your funds, and no one works for free, so the best option is to make your own medicine.

You’ll need the following items to make your own medication in Wartales:

  • An empty glass vial.
  • 2x Snow Iris.
  • 2x Comfrey.
  • A party member with the Alchemist profession.

As you progress over the map, you’ll find a lot of comfrey. In fact, you can locate some right at the start of the game.

Snow Iris is a little harder to come by, as it only grows in snowy locations on the map. However, in a pinch, trade caravans and vendors may have some on hand, so keep an eye out.

After battles, vials obtained as treasure on select foes, as well as empty vials in your inventory after ingesting medicine to recoup health and heal your soldiers.

How to Use Medicine

When it comes to finding an Alchemist for your group, all you have to do is travel to a town and visit the Apothecary. Once there, go to the workshop and click on the apothecary items to assign one of your party members to the profession so they may gain the requisite abilities.

It’s worth mentioning that you can override a previous occupation if necessary, but you’ll lose any experience you obtained. But being able to make medicine and treat people is sometimes worth it.
