How To Change Hoopa To Unbound Form In Pokemon Go. Hoopa, one of the first Mythical Pokemon with several forms, initially appeared in Pokemon X and Y and has since made an appearance in Pokemon GO.
While most Pokemon GO forms almost recognised as unique species (examples include Castform, Cherrim, Rotom, and Giratina), the game has added a new form-change feature. This feature allows the user to change the form of some Pokemon at any time. This mechanic can currently only used by Furfrou and Hoopa (at the time of writing).
Here’s how to change Hoopa’s Confined and Unbound states.
How to Catch Hoopa
At the present, anyone who did not log in during the Season of Mischief is unable to earn Hoopa. Only by continuing through the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research, which unlocked by logging in during that time period, can it caught. Hoopa will undoubtedly re-released in the future, but for the time being, this is the only method to get it.
By completing Step 3 of the questline, anyone who has completed the Misunderstood Mischief tasks can catch Hoopa in its Confined form.
There is no time limit on completing this Special Research after it has earned. Players can unlock a new questline called Mischief Unbound by finishing the Special Research by a specified time during the Season of Mischief (or by purchasing a ticket). On that player’s account, completing the second phase of that questline allows Hoopa to shift forms.

Changing Hoopa’s Form
Switching Hoopa’s form in Pokemon GO is actually quite simple. The second step of the Mischief Unbound Special Research, which unlocks the form changing mechanic for Hoopa, must completed by players.
Simply go to Hoopa’s page and scroll down until you see the “EVOLVE” and “POWER UP” buttons. There should be a “CHANGE FORM” button here.
Changing forms, however, comes at a price. Here’s what you’ll need:
50 Hoopa Candy + 50,000 Stardust = Hoopa Confined Hoopa Unbound
- Hoopa Confined âž¡ Hoopa Unbound = 50 Hoopa Candy + 50,000 Stardust
- Hoopa Unbound âž¡ Hoopa Confined = 10 Hoopa Candy + 2,000 Stardust
It’s as simple as that! Hoopa’s form can changed many times you want, but costs Candy and Stardust each time.
