How To Solve The Stillsands Relic Ruins Puzzle In Horizon Forbidden West. The Stillsands’ Relic Ruins will most likely the first ruins encountered after going past the mountains and into Tenakth territory for most players. The ruins located in the middle of a desert (the Mojave Desert, to specific), but any Horizon Forbidden West gamers expecting a dry and dusty experience will disappointed.
Despite their sandy surroundings, the Stillsands Relic Ruins function as a water dungeon, with players having to raise (and maybe lower) the water levels inside the complex to reach the Ornament. Of course, crates and Firegleam involved, but this shouldn’t a problem because there’s no other way to get to this portion of Horizon Forbidden West’s map without the Igniter.

What is the Best Way to Raise the Water Level?
The first thing players should do upon entering the Stillsands Relic Ruins is climb up atop the pillar in the centre of the room and jump backwards onto the surrounding damaged staircases by hitting the Circle button. There’s a crate not far from where they land that they should push down into the area below. In the region where it landed, there is a Firegleam crystal that players should destroy with their Igniter.
Players can now push the box through the opening in the wall and use it to climb up onto the adjoining yellow beam. This will allow them to access the water valve, which may utilised to turn on the water, as one might assume. This water will initially flow away due to the surrounding drainage grate, but players can halt it by pushing the crate into the drainage grate alcove.
How to Acquire a Store Key
The water level will begin to increase very quickly after blocking the drainage grate, causing players to flee back to the main room. They’ll be able to swim over to the broken staircase with the Store Key and retrieve it once they arrive. If they continue up the stairs, they’ll find a Datapoint, but they won’t need to scan it to obtain the Ornament this time. They should now unlock the door to the north of the chamber with the key in hand.

How to Get the Ornament
Players will receive another box after unlocking the door, which can pushed into the sea and utilised a floating platform. Aloy, on the other hand, isn’t powerful enough to swim into it, thus players will have to rely on the Pullcaster to get the container where it needs to go. They’ll have to drag the container pretty far to find a yellow beam on the right side of the chamber’s most southerly region.

The second box can then pushed exactly where it needs to before raising the water level again using the same techniques as previously.
