Beating The Tremortusk In Horizon Forbidden West
Before we get into the specifics, keep in mind that the Tremortusk is weak to Frost and strong to Fire damage, so plan accordingly. You’ll also need the data from the Cauldron KAPPA to override the machine.
The Tremortusk uses a tusk sweep attack, which means it will repeatedly sweep its tusks at you. Over and over, these can be difficult to avoid. We advocate dodging towards the machine so that as it continues to attack in its typical rhythm, it walks away from you, keeping you safe. This time can be used to make ammo, heal, or land a few hits. By firing the tusks with impact damage and completely destroying them, you can deactivate this tusk sweep assault.

When you get behind the wheel of the Tremortusk, you’ll notice that it has cannons that it can employ against you. Fortunately, you can eliminate these with impact damage. The Tremortusk can create a shockwave by slamming its front legs onto the ground. You can jump over these or dart out of the way to avoid receiving damage.
The machine has the ability to project electric orbs over itself that will move towards you. You will be injured if you come into contact with them. You can eliminate them by shooting them. The machine’s belly is its most vulnerable point. There’s a Blaze Sac here that you can take out with a shotgun. This will do a great deal of damage.
