How To Defeat The Leonine Misbegotten In Elden Ring

How To Defeat The Leonine Misbegotten In Elden Ring. Dragon that can fly Agheel is the first Dragon boss in Elden Ring, and he can be located within a short distance from the First Steps Site of Lost Grace at the beginning of Limgrave. Lake Agheel is a poisonous swamp in central Limgrave that also serves as a Dragon’s territorial grounds.

A roar screeches over the wind as you walk (or ride) into the middle of Lake Agheel, and Agheel flies down from the sky to smash into the lake, usually killing several minor NPCs. If you return to Lake Agheel after that, Flying Dragon Agheel will appear on a little island, waiting for the player to fight him. On horseback, albeit perilous, it’s not too bad of a fight.

Leonine Misbegotten’s Moveset And Weaknesses

Agheel can fly, as his name suggests, and as a result, he rarely stays in one area for long. To dodge damage and set up for AoE strikes, he would move to different regions of Lake Agheel on a regular basis, either by launching across the battlefield or by flying up and breathing fire in a straight line. These moves, on the other hand, are simple to predict and counter.

The Skeletal Spearmen, who resurrect themselves, or the Lone Wolves, who travel quickly enough to keep up with Agheel for longer than expected, are the greatest summons for Flying Dragon Agheel. Spirit Summons aren’t essential to beat Agheel, but they can help you get some breathing room by distracting him. Spirit Summons, on the other hand, tend to die in his fire breath AoE attack, therefore summon them only after he finishes this move to keep them alive as long as possible.

Leonine Misbegotten Moveset

  • Agheel lowers his head for a brief minute before slashing right and left in fast succession in melee range. Damage is moderate.
  • Close-Range Stomp: A stomp that is delayed and leans to one side based on the player’s position. Only happens while you’re on the ground or in melee range. Extremely damaging.
  • When the player deals damage to Agheel’s back, he quickly rotates around to confront them. Damage is moderate.
  • Fire Breath – Above: Agheel soars into the sky, rears back, and soars forward in a line below, breathing fire. After about five seconds in the air, he always lands to his right of his flight path (your left when running away). High damage and a good chance of knocking you off Torrent.
  • Agheel rears back, gathers flame in its throat, and hurls waves of fire across the battlefield with Fire Breath. High damage and a good chance of knocking you off Torrent.
  • Agheel rapidly flies aloft and strikes the immediate area with flame with his Fire Breath – Close-Range AoE. High damage, but it can be avoided.
  • Agheel flies up and keeps his strike in the air for roughly two seconds while aiming before crashing down on the player’s location. High damage and range, although sprinting backwards on Torrent entirely avoids the strike.

Weaknesses of Agheel

Agheel has no special weaknesses to damage types, yet, as with most FromSoftware games, hitting this Dragon in one location – the head – delivers significantly more damage. Agheel only lowers his head after a few moves (and when he roars at the player in the beginning), making it difficult to hit him, especially for melee players.

Ranged players merely need to lock upon Agheel’s head and cast or shot arrows from afar. Melee players will need a long-range weapon to successfully strike his head, however chipping away at his legs will take a little longer but won’t put them in danger of being bitten or burnt.

Strategies for Defeating Agheel, the Flying Dragon

Except for the Air Lunge diving strike, which takes him a few seconds to initiate, Agheel’s movements are predictable and somewhat slow. After the Bite Combo, during the ground Fire Breath, and after the Airborne Fire Breath, players have three opportunities to get a few good hits in.

The Two-Hit Bite move is performed in quick succession, however after the second bite, Agheel lowers his head, allowing you to land a couple effective blows. You can dash behind Agheel (assuming you stay close) and gain free strikes during his long-ranged Fire Breath attack. Stay to the right of the fire breath region and run with Agheel to get fairly close to him when he lands, providing you another few seconds for hits.

Spellcasting/Ranged

Agheel will be the easiest to deal with for sorcery players because his strikes will hit from a considerable distance, leaving you to worry only about evading his airborne assaults and Fire Breath. Players that specialise in Incantations will have the most difficulty with this encounter because he is immune to Fire damage, which is the primary source of damage from Incantations at this point in Elden Ring. Bow players, like Sorcery players, may simply lock onto Agheel’s head and fire arrow after arrow at Torrent while evading the most of his close-quarters assaults.

Melee Techniques

Fighting Agheel on foot isn’t recommended because it’s practically hard to avoid his Fire Breath attacks, and the groupings of Poison Pods in Lake Agheel can be a pain to deal with. In summary, if you haven’t unlocked Torrent yet, don’t take on Agheel.

Get a long-ranged melee weapon, such as a Greatsword or a Lance, and deal close range strikes to his head, keeping an eye out for his Stomp and Tail Swipe. You can also hit his legs, but this is less effective. Keep an eye out for his unexpected close-range AoE Fire Breath strike, and don’t get greedy, no matter how indifferent he appears to be.
