During the event, players will be able to obtain their own Flower-Crown Lopunny. With the ability to mega evolve, this Normal-Type Pokemon is strong against Ghost-Types and weak against Fighting-Types. Here’s how to catch Lopunny and whether you’ll be able to get a shiny one.
Is It Possible to Catch Lopunny and Is It Shiny?
In Pokemon GO, finding a Flower-Crowned Buneary is the only way to get a Flower-Crowned Lopunny.
In Pokemon GO, players must either find a rare Flower-Crowned Buneary in the wild or complete a Field Research Task of catching five Exeggcutes to receive a random encounter with the Flower-Crowned Buneary.
Buneary, on the other hand, is not a guaranteed Pokemon to encounter after completing this task. So, if you don’t get the encounter, you’ll have to go out into the wild to find the Pokemon.
Once you’ve caught your Buneary, use 50 candies to evolve it into Lopunny.

Is it possible for Buneary to be shiny?
Yes, though it’s a small chance. Flower-Crown Buneary, your wild encounter, has a chance to be gleaming.
You can use an Incense or a Lure Module to attract more Pokemon for more encounters when looking for a Flower-Crown Buneary. With more encounters, you will have a higher chance of encountering the Flower-Crown Buneary that you can evolve into your new Flower-Crown Lopunny.
If you want to improve your chances of catching the event Pokemon, use a Razz Berry or a Golden Razz Berry after the encounter appears. You can also collect more Buneary candies by utilising Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries during your bonus encounters with more Bunearies to evolve yours into a Lopunny.
