How To Get Curios Darktide. Players have access to the same number of equipment slots in Warhammer 40K: Darktide as in its predecessor, but some of them function slightly differently this time. As in Vermintide 2, you still have slots for both melee and ranged weapons, but this time, curios have taken the place of necklaces, charms, and other accessories.

Every character has two weapons at the beginning, but you won’t be able to use your first Curio until you reach level 8. Even then, you (likely) won’t receive it for nothing. When you reach level 8, your first Curio slot instantly unlocked, but you still have to buy the actual item.

If you complete a mission successfully, you may occasionally rewarded with a Curio rather than a weapon. This can occur before you reach level 8. However, you won’t able to use it until the first slot unlocked.

Every character in Warhammer 40K: Darktide can unlock three Curio slots independent of their class. At level 16, the second position becomes available; at level 24, the third slot becomes available. The next two slots, like the first, become available once you reach the necessary level.

You can easily purchase Curios if you aren’t fortunate enough to earn them for free by performing quests. There are two locations on board the Mourningstar where you can purchase Curios. The Armory Exchange is the most obvious location where you may frequently find curios for sale in addition to weapons.

The Requisitorium of Sire Melk also sells curios. Although they are more harder to obtain, the curios discovered here are often of higher quality. After you unlock the first slot, you won’t be able to shop at the Requisitorium because it doesn’t open until level 11. Additionally, Sire Melk trades his wares for unique money that only acquired by finishing weekly contracts. Many of these contracts might take a lot of time, but the things you can get from Sire Melk are absolutely worth it.

Similar to weapon upgrading, curios upgrade. The Curio you want to upgrade should first Consecrated at the Shrine of the Omnissiah by the Tech Priest. It’s important to note that an upgraded Curio will retain all of its current benefits and blessings. Every Curio has a blessing and has room for three benefits. The Tech Priest merely adds a bonus to a Curio whenever you enhance it.

Although the bonuses you receive when upgrading Curios are always arbitrary, you will ultimately be able to swap them out for new ones at the Shrine of the Omnissiah by selecting the “Refine Item” option. Unfortunately, these and a few other options weren’t made available at launch, and it might some time before they are.
