In New World, players will almost always be on the lookout for vials of Azoth, a magical blue liquid that is required for a few key features of this game.

While the most common reasons for saving Azoth in the New World are to reset one’s weapon talents and improve one’s crafting, it is undeniable that the most significant drain on one’s Azoth stockpile will be fast-traveling, as these teleporting leaps are impossible to make without this mystical cerulean fluid. Azoth will begin to appear in quest rewards at level 15, and the Azoth rewards will be greater for higher-level quests.

Obtaining Azoth from Defeated Opponents

At around level 20, enemies will start dropping Azoth, and, as with quests, higher-level enemies will grant more Azoth upon defeat. This is the most efficient way to farm Azoth while gaining valuable skill experience and other potential loot.

Obtaining Azoth via Corruption Points

When cleared out, these dark and dank zones of fallen fiends yield a fair amount of Azoth; however, they are all set to specific levels, so make sure to only go into one of a similar level to one’s character or gather some friends before beginning the assault.

Obtaining Azoth through Harvesting

Using special tools is the most passive and arguably most efficient method of obtaining Azoth. Harvesting tools, such as the Sickle and Logging Axe, buffed with permanent traits that grant a set percentage chance of gaining 1 Azoth every time material is collected with those tools.

This buff found on preexisting tools that bought at a Trade Post or inserted into a tool that one is crafting themselves if they have a high enough Engineering skill and the right resources.
