Age Of Empires 4: How To Pick Up Relics

Age Of Empires 4: How To Pick Up Relics Relics. Are golden items in Age of Empires 4 that can (mostly) be placed in a Monastery or an equivalent building for other civilizations. Age of Empires 4 players will receive 100 Gold every minute for every Relic obtained and stored, and the money is obtained passively.

In addition to the Gold, a minor upgrade in the Monastery will grant players Food, Wood, and Stone. Overall, obtaining Relics does not change the course of the war, but it has proven to be of great assistance to players who are able to keep them.

To obtain Relics in Age of Empire 4, players must dispatch a Monk to the location. Keep in mind, however, that the unit will require some company. Wolves will most likely devour a lone Monk before they reach their destination.

Monks are the only units that can hold and move Relics because they are religious items that can be stored in Monasteries. It is important to note that different civilizations have different names for monks, such as:

  • Monk: English, Chinese, and French
  • Prelate: Holy Roman Empire
  • Shaman: Mongols
  • Warrior Monk: Rus
  • Scholar: Delhi Sultanate
  • Imam: Mosque

Most civilizations can recruit monks in the Third Age. The Holy Roman Empire faction, on the other hand, can purchase Prelate right away without having to build a Monastery. Another exception is the Delhi Sultanate, where players can construct a Mosque in the city.

To find Relics, players must send scouts or troops to search the map for them. Players will notice the golden colour of a Relic as well as the golden strings above it as they pass by it. Relics will then appear on the minimap with an artefact icon.

The Value of Relics

Some civilizations place a high value on relics. For example, the Holy Roman Empire can store Relics in most of their structures, and each structure has a unique buff.

Despite the fact that the Delhi Sultanate can recruit Scholars early, they do not place a high value on Relic. Instead, their Scholars can seize Sacred Sites from the start.

Relics can also be used to cause harm. Monks who carry the Relics will gain the ability Conversion. When activated, the Monk will perform a ritual to steal enemy troops in a reasonable AOE. Monks, on the other hand, are slow, and they must walk into combat to initiate Conversion. Enemies will notice and deal with the religious unit with ease. However, only one civilization can effectively employ this strategy.

Unlike most Monks, Rus’ Warrior Monks are quick and have a high survivability. Players can successfully initiate Conversion by sneaking a Relic carrier between enemy troops with proper planning.
