What Trainers Need To Catch Gible
Players will require the following items before they may catch Gible:
- HM04 Strength
- HM03 Surf
- Mine Badge

Gible is a difficult to catch Pokemon. Furthermore, Gible is likely to be weaker than the other Pokemon in the group, so bring one that is level 19-20. To make catching it easier, use Quick Balls or Dark Balls. If you don’t have these, weaken it by inflicting status illnesses before throwing an Ultra Ball.

Trainers can, of course, get a Gible in a Trade instead of having to go through all of this effort. If the trainer doesn’t have enough Gym Badges, a Traded Pokemon is more likely to ignore commands.
Gible And Its Evolutions: More Details
Gible is a Dragon and Ground-type Pokemon with a Slow growth rate (one attack EV yield) and Adamant nature (as this will increase its physical attack power). It’s a little slow in and of itself, but it hits other Pokemon hard. It’s also difficult to capture, at least while you’re trying. At full health, Gible’s Pokeball catch rate is only 5.9%. Players will either have to employ status effects to reduce its HP or pray for extreme luck.
Gible is a cute Pokemon in and of itself, but most gamers are after its third stage evolution, Garchomp. To get a Garchomp, players must first level up Gible to the second stage of development in Gabite. This will happen after a Gible reaches level 24, and thankfully, no specific requirements will be required.
Gabite’s base statistics are as follows:

- Speed: 82
- Attack: 90
- Defense: 65
- Special Attack: 55
- Special Defense: 45
Gible’s speed is effectively doubled when it evolves into Gabite, providing trainers a much quicker Pokemon with even more powerful attacks. Gabite will develop into Garchomp if it hits the level 48 mark.
