Creating and Joining a Lobby

The Courier must contacted in order to form a group of up to four players. The Courier can organise an online session with a variety of choices, including goals, hunting ranks, and more. A lobby can left open for players to join, or a password can set up to keep off undesirable hunters. A connected lobby serves as a place for participants to interact with one another outside of the search. Players will still be unable to join each other’s Village tasks.

It’s even easier to join a lobby than it is to start one. Simply ask the Courier to open the Friends list for you. Select the option to join their lobby and, if necessary, enter the password.

The Hunter Board in the village’s Hub portion still has the majority of multiplayer functionality. The Hunter Board positioned to the right of Minoto the Hub Maiden and can easily overlooked by beginner players. At Minoto, users can start a multiplayer quest by selecting Yes (Send Join Request), which will allow them to start the quest while also automatically filling in additional players who are looking for the same mission.

If a group of players gathered in a lobby and one of them has chosen a quest, the others in the group can choose Participate Hub Mission to join and prepare for the posted quest. Otherwise, participants can respond to a join request using the Respond to Join Request option. Following that, the options will differ depending on the types of quests the player can participate in based on what they’ve unlocked. To find what one is looking for, choose a category and then explore the quest list. Monster Hunter Rise will begin matching players after they have chosen.
