How To Play Fortnite On Apple Ipad 2022

How To Play Fortnite On Apple Ipad 2022. Even though Fortnite is no longer available on the App Store, you can still play it on your iPhone or iPad with Nvidia GeForce Now.

Fortnite used to be one of the most popular iPhone and iPad apps, but that all changed in 2020. Epic Games decided to subvert Apple’s IAP system in protest of Apple’s IAP surcharges, and paid the ultimate price – expulsion from the App Store. Despite Epic’s legal action, Apple not compelled to restore Fortnite to the App Store.

What are the options for iOS users? Essentially nothing for a long time. Nvidia, on the other hand, has revealed that Fortnite will be available for iPhone and iPad through its cloud-based gaming service GeForce Now.

While it’s primarily a platform for PC games, Nvidia and Epic are collaborating to add mobile touchscreen controllers for a more traditional mobile gaming experience. What’s the best part? During the closed beta phase, it is absolutely free to use.

If you interested, here’s how to play Fortnite right now on your iPhone or iPad.

Sign Up To The Fortnite Closed Beta

Fornite will return to iPhone and iPad via a GeForce Now closed beta, allowing Nvidia and Epic to evaluate the installation of touch controllers.

It’s a first for Nvidia’s cloud service, but it’s something we’ll see more of in the future, with Nvidia stating that more publishers will be streaming full PC games “with built-in touch capability” in the future.

As a result, testing will begin this week (w/c 17 January 2022), and it will be open to all Nvidia GeForce Now subscribers, including those on the free tier.

The only stipulation? According to Nvidia, subscribers will “allowed to the beta in batches over the coming weeks” after signing up for a waitlist on the GeForce Now website. However, because space restricted and entry not assured, it not a given.

Install GeForce Now On Your IPhone Or IPad To Get Started

The next step to install Nvidia GeForce Now on your iPhone or iPad, whether you already authorised for the closed beta or are still waiting for the email.

The bad news is that you’ll have to use Safari to access GeForce Now because Apple’s App Store restrictions effectively prohibit cloud-based gaming programmes. The good news that the web app has refined to the point where it feels almost identical to a native iOS app.

However, it isn’t as simple as going to the GeForce Now website. Set up GeForce Now on your iPhone or iPad by following these steps:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Safari.
  2. Go to play.geforcenow.com
  3. Select the Share icon (bottom of the screen on iPhone, top-right on iPad).
  4. Add to Home Screen by tapping the Add to Home Screen button.
  5. Give the shortcut a name (such as GFN) and save it by pressing OK.
  6. You’ll see a shortcut to the GeForce Now web app on your home screen, which you may move (or uninstall) like any other app.
  7. To open the app, simply tap it and agree to the terms and conditions.
  8. To sign into your GeForce Now account, tap the symbol in the top-right corner.
  9. Select Settings from the menu icon (top-left).
  10. Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Epic Games account to your GeForce Now account, allowing you to play Fortnite (and other Epic Games titles) on the service.

Get Playing

If you’ve been chosen for the closed beta, all you have to do now is launch the GeForce Now web app on your iPhone or iPad, select Fortnite, and play the game in real time with touch controllers.

If you want to play on a console, you can attach a Bluetooth controller, as you can with most other GFN games.

Isn’t it almost as if Fortnite never left iOS in the first place?
