Modern Warfare 2 Leaks 2023. The Cranked game mode from the Call of Duty series, along with the perennially popular Plunder playlist. May be returning soon, according to leaked icons that appear to be for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
Plunder was a more recent addition in the original Warzone. Whereas Cranked has included in various Call of Duty games over the past few years. Including Ghosts, 2019’s Modern Warfare, and Black Ops Cold War.
Similar in structure to Team Deathmatch, Cranked completely flips the script by requiring players to score a kill 30 seconds following their first. When time runs out, the player explodes if the task not completed. Players compete in Plunder to amass more money than the other team. Although many people liked the playlist for its more relaxed attitude and quick weapon levelling.
The reintroduction of both modes is much anticipated by Call of Duty fans. So a recent leak will probably make someone very pleased.
Modern Warfare 2 leak could indicate the impending release of Cranked
The game files for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 contain icons that allude to the likely reintroduction of the two adored modes, Plunder and Cranked.
The photographs just posted by well-known CoD dataminer BKTOOR. And given the timing of everything, some people think the modes may appear sooner rather than later. The wrench-shaped emblem in the pictures below stands for Cranked, whereas the pictures with plenty of currency signs represent Plunder.

In a later post, the leaker pointed out that the icons’ red colouring explicitly refers to Modern Warfare 2 and not Warzone. There is no way to know what this involves, but one fan speculates that the leak may point to the return of Heist. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 mode that is similar to CS:GO.
Though this appears to be the first indication that Cranked may appear in Modern Warfare 2, Plunder-related rumours gained momentum in the latter part of last year.
In December, YouTuber tiktokalnuke discovered a map bug in Warzone 2 that included icons that previously reserved for plunder. It’s possible that the two game types could soon given a fresh start.
In the weeks leading up to Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, we’ll need to keep an eye out.
